Kathryn B. Carpenter is a historian and writer based in Kansas City, Missouri. She is the creator and host of Drafting the Past, a podcast about the craft of writing history, and a doctoral candidate in the History of Science at Princeton University. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Her current project is a social and scientific history of storm chasing in the American Midwest.
