Rob Love

Rob Love is a poet, author, journalist and proud native of Kansas City. After graduating from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a B.A in Print Journalism, he rekindled a lifelong love of writing poetry. Over the years his work has been featured online with blackartinamerica.com and cowbird.com. He has also self-published several collections of poetry and spoken word.  Most recently his work was published in the Fall 2024 issue of Contemporary Verse 2, a Canadian poetry journal, and featured in collaboration with the UMKC Conservatory of Dance and Music's Breaking the Dam series. Before pursuing a career as an author, he worked as a contributing writer for the Kansas City CALL newspaper.  Additionally, he has worked for several public libraries, including the Kansas City Public Library, in outreach and youth services doing everything from early literacy advocacy and interactive story times to book clubs and creative writing programs.
