Registering for free tickets

Festival Day 1: Friday night at Woodneath Library Center

Attendees must register for free tickets in advance to attend Friday night’s featured programming with Percival Everett at the Woodneath Library Center. All tickets are free, but seating is limited.  

  • The auditorium doors open at 5:30 p.m. Enjoy live music and a public reception before the featured program.

  • Featured presentation at 6:30 p.m.

  • Book signing at 7:45 p.m.

Festival Day 2: Saturday morning and afternoon at Central Library

Advance registration secures general admission to day two of the festival at Central Library. Seating for all programming will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to capacity limits, room by room.  

  • The festival opens at 9 a.m.

  • The festival closes at 4 p.m.

Day 1: Friday, October 10 at Mid-Continent Public Library

The Auditorium at Woodneath Library Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Attendees will check in upon arrival. Please be ready to show a digital or paper version of your Eventbrite ticket.

Festival Day 2: Saturday, October 11 at Kansas City Public Library, Central Library

The festival’s main entrance is on 10th Street, east of Central Library’s iconic brass doors. Follow signs and staff to enter through the proper doors.  

All general admission visitors will enter the Library’s ADA accessible lobby at street level, then travel by stairs or elevator to the first floor. Follow signs and staff to check in at a welcome table.  

Festival goers must check in and display a wristband while in attendance. Please be ready to show a digital or paper version of your Eventbrite ticket. 

All vendors, event staff, and volunteers will check in at the Central Library receiving dock. The dock sits behind the large, book return box on Baltimore, approximately halfway between 10th and 9th Streets. Follow signs and staff to arrive at the correct location.  

Vendors, staff, and volunteers must check in and display a wristband while in attendance.
