Mid-Continent Public Library’s Woodneath Library Center, a historic site on the National Register, offers a unique library experience that includes 33 acres of wooded property with trails, an outdoor amphitheater, and an 1855 farmhouse – the home of The Story Center.

Kansas City Public Library: Central Library

The Kansas City Public Library’s Central Library serves as the main resource library for the urban system. The historic, multi-story building, originally home to the First National Bank, has housed the Library’s major service and administrative departments since 2004. The restored 1906 bank lobby’s distinctive 34-foot ceiling and skylight are among many impressive architectural features on display throughout the building.

Parking at Festival Venues
At Woodneath Library Center, park for free in the adjacent lot.
At Central Library, parking is free in the Community Bookshelf garage on Baltimore Avenue between 10th street and 9th street. Parking gates will be open between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.—visitors must leave the garage before 5 p.m. to avoid being charged a lost ticket fee.
