Kaite Stover

Kaite Stover is the director of Readers' Services for The Kansas City Public Library. You’ve heard her shoot her mouth off about books on KCUR 89.3’s “Up to Date with Steve Kraske.” She’s bent your ear about books and reading at KC Star Pop Up Book Group events. Stover insists you read KCPL Big Read titles like Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Things They Carried, Poet Laureate Joy Harjo’s An American Sunrise, and Kansas City author Rebekah Taussig's memoir, Sitting Pretty. She has a bunch of awards from professional Libraryland, is asked for her opinion on books and reading from Portland to Iceland and has published many articles and books whose titles she can’t remember. During the pandemic, Stover read and listened to far more books than she thought possible yet failed to learn how to use an instapot.
