William Brian Johnson

William Brian Johnson is a storm photojournalist and writer who chases storms in the Midwest and documents them on his website, RuminationofThunder.com. His photography has been used by NASA, the National Weather Service, and NOAA. Johnson’s fiction has won awards such as The Kansas Writer’s Association Best of the Best and Children’s Short Story Awards. His first novel, Hell to Pay, won first place in the Austin Writers Contest’s New Novels category. Johnson is a fellow of The Flint Hills Writing Project, the National Writing Project, Artist INC through the Mid-America Arts Alliance, and Project Atmosphere through the American Meteorological Society. He's taught gifted special education for many years and is proud of his former students; he hopes to spark a future author.
